He has more than 10 years of management consulting experience, advising both private equity and corporate clients in Southeast Asia. In particular, Willy has deep expertise in the Technology sectors - across 'deep tech' (e.g. Semiconductors, AI/ ML) and internet economies (e.g. eCommerce, On-demand services, Fintech, etc.). Within his focus areas, he has extensive experience advising clients on Strategy, M&A advisory, due diligence, and portfolio value creation planning.
In addition to client engagements, Willy is also the co-author of "e-Conomy SEA" - the leading annual report on Southeast Asia's internet economy published in collaboration with Google and Temasek.
Prior to his career at Bain, Willy spent 7 years as a researcher in physics. His research areas focused on quantum computing and semi/ superconductor systems. He has extensive experience working in cleanrooms and semiconductor fabrication.
Willy holds a Ph.D. in physics from Harvard University, and a B.A. in physics from Columbia University.
